SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – As the season’s most successful team entering the week, 4Aces Golf Club exits Chicago saying hello to a ‘bye’.

The team maintained its lead in the season-long team standings following a solid showing at LIV Golf Chicago and clinched a bye for the Team Championship in Miami. Crushers Golf Club won the team title at Rich Harvest Farms, but 4Aces GC performed well enough to retain the top spot.

The teammates combined to finish third in Chicago at 25 under, eight shots behind Crushers GC. It was the sixth time in the past seven events that 4Aces has finished in the top six of the team leaderboard. 4Aces GC also has two team victories this season.

Long-hitting Peter Uihlein paved the way for his team in Chicago. He had all three scores count, shot 5-under 66 on Sunday and finished fifth on the individual leaderboard. Pat Perez and Patrick Reed had matching counting scores of 1-under 70, and Reed got his team off to a good start on Friday with a scintillating 4-under 67.

Captain Dustin Johnson matched Perez and Reed with a 70 of his own on Sunday. Johnson erupted for a 5-under 66 on Saturday to vault up the leaderboard and put himself in contention. He finished 10th on the individual leaderboard at 9 under for the week and is seventh in the season-long individual standings.
